Our history

2013

Our founder, Dr. Amit Patel and family founds Atnahs, named in honour of their grandmother, Shanta.

Headquartered in Basildon, UK.

2014

We acquired Dipentum® from UCB.

We opened an office in Sydney, Australia to service our Australasian markets.

2015

We acquired Anaprox®, Naprosyn® and Toradol® in certain territories from Roche.

2016

We acquired US rights to Naproxen Suspension from Pediapharm.

We also acquired a majority stake in Danish company, Pharmanovia.

2017

We acquired Bondronat®, Bonviva® and Kytril® in certain markets from Roche.

We opened an office in Vadodara, India to serve as our “Centre of Excellence” for Product Development.

2018

We acquired Famvir® in certain territories from Novartis.

We acquired the remainder of Danish business, Pharmanovia.

2019

We acquired Synacthen® from Mallinckrodt in certain territories.

Triton invests in Pharmanovia, supporting our future growth strategy.

2020

We acquired Inderal®, Tenoretic®, Tenormin®, Zestoretic® and Zestril® in certain territories from AstraZeneca.

We acquired Rocaltrol® in certain territories from Roche.

Acquisition of the rights to Bonviva® in six South Asian markets.

We acquired Valium® from Roche in certain territories.

2021

We rebranded Atnahs to Pharmanovia, the speciality pharma business that we acquired.

We opened offices in Switzerland, Italy and  Kuala Lumpur.

We acquired Leustatin® from J&J.

We established our first global charity partnership with HIPZ.

 

2022

We rebranded Lamepro B.V which we aquired in 2020 to Pharmanovia, establishing an office in the Netherlands.

We launched our inaugural Sustainability Report.

We expanded our operations in China with the acquisition of Rocaltrol® from Roche.

We entered into an exclusive in-licensing agreement with Aquestive Therapeutics for Diazepam Buccal Film in certain territories.

2023

We entered into an exclusive in-license agreement with Axsome Therapeutics, Inc. for Sunosi® across Europe, Middle East and North America (MENA).

We entered an exclusive in-licence agreement with Aeterna Zentaris for GHRYVELIN® (macimorelin).

Expanded our licencing agreement with Aquestive Therapeutics, inc for its patented diazepam buccal film formulation to rest of world excluding US, Canada and China.

We entered a new chemical entity licensing agreement with Stealth BioTherapeutics to market and further develop a potential novel treatment for Barth syndrome.

We received formal approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for our net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions target.

Received Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification across five regions: the UK, China, India, UAE, and Denmark.

We won Graduate Training Programme of the Year at the Pharma Industry Awards UK 2023.

 

2024

We expanded our neurology portfolio with the acquisition of 11 central nervous system (CNS) brands from global healthcare company, Sanofi.

We opened an office in Germany to expand our reach.

We partnered with ECHO THERAPEUTICS for promotional activities in Australia.

 

We upgraded our office space in Vadodara and opened expanded offices in Mumbai to support our growing team.

We were recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in BioPharma.

We signed an agreement to bring Xadago®, a treatment for Parkinson’s disease, to Australia and New Zealand.

We signed our first in-licensing agreement for a first-in-class cancer biologic treatment.

 

 

2025

We achieved Great Place to Work Accreditation across seven core offices.

We opened a new London office space.

We signed an in-licensing deal for a novel osteoporosis treatment with Radius Health.

We announced European Marketing Authorisation approval for Korjuny®, a first-in-class cancer treatment.

We entered an exclusive distribution agreement with Er-Kim for Sunosi® in Eastern Europe.
