About the role:

Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, in this role you will manage day to day activities as the Project Manager of assigned product development projects. The works include, but are not limited to, creation-monitoring-controlling of project plans, external and internal stakeholder communication, leading regular project meetings & prepare MOM, identify and flag risk, working on mitigation of issues and ensuring project timelines and commitments are adhered to.

You will work with cross function teams like Technical, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Commercial, Supply Chain, CDMO (Contract Development & Manufacturing Organisation), Partners, and Pharmacovigilance/ Medical team to ensure integrated approach to project management and planning.

Key skills required are an understanding of basic knowledge of drug development and registration process in Pharmaceuticals, good attention to detail, proactive nature and confident communicator, both within the business and with external partners. The ideal candidate would also be a problem solver with an inquisitive mind and appetite to develop their technical skills. The department has an ethos of continuous improvement, refining systems and creating efficiencies. This, along with the rapid growth of the business, leads to a varied and dynamic working environment. 

Main responsibilities & duties:

  • To create-monitor-control project plans in alignment with the cross-functional Pharmanovia teams
  • Sourcing and contracting with third parties for the project deliverables
  • Preparation of the Project budget, evaluating and ensuring project progress
  • Regular review meeting with CFTs, Management and External Partners and update action logs
  • Develop plans for Risk mitigation and overcoming constraints
  • Envisioning and forestalling delays which may occur and work on CAPA
  • Inventory and Material Management, ensuring project requirement at right time – right place
  • Drive end-to-end projects from conception to registration and launch to market
  • Vendor discussions on technical issues in coordination with CFTs
  • Involvement in designing and finalizing products for the Development Portfolio
  • Organise and lead regular connects with CMOs for project update, cross functional update, and risk mitigation
  • Provide a pro-active approach to problem solving within the projects and assisting the company to deliver on its commercial goals
  • Report progress on projects on a weekly basis to line manager
  • Ensure the regulations and needs of all CFTs are in compliance to avoid surprises in the projects
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and oversee multiple projects, manage schedules, resource allocation/planning and maximize work efforts across all teams
  • Maintain cordial and strong relationships with the external partner for effective turnarounds
  • Ensure accurate reporting of project performance to senior stakeholders and other members of the Pharmanovia team
  • Work closely with members of Project Management Office to adopt similar robust project management tools to ensure consistency in approach across the projects.
  • Collaborate, and escalate if required, to stakeholders within the business to ensure key project deliverables are achieved in timely manner.

About you:

Candidates with 8 to 12 years’ relevant experience in project management, ideally with exposure to pharmaceutical formulation/analytical/packaging, are likely to have the skills required to be successful in this role. We are also looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, including pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the drug development process
  • Understanding of the regulatory and dossier registration process in US, EU & ROW
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent IT skills across all MS packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Ability to take minutes and create professional presentations
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for problem solving
  • Proactive, confident and a zeal for learning
  • Ability to work on own as well as part of team
