This is a highly externally focused and hands-on position. You will work autonomously across your territory while collaborating closely with Medical Affairs and cross-functional colleagues, maintaining scientific integrity, independent medical judgement and the non-promotional character of Medical Affairs.
Responsibilities

- Develop and execute a focused territory Medical Affairs plan, prioritising scientific engagement based on patient need, asset strategy, and local healthcare priorities.
- Maintain strong and current oncology and oncology supportive-care expertise, including relevant tumour types, treatment pathways, biomarkers, diagnostics, standards of care and emerging evidence.
- Deliver high-quality, objective and balanced non-promotional scientific exchange, communicating complex clinical data accurately and credibly.
- Support pre-launch, launch and post-launch Medical Affairs activities, ensuring agreed milestones and field activities are delivered effectively.
- Contribute to UK launch readiness, including stakeholder mapping, scientific engagement, patient pathway assessment, congresses, advisory boards, education, and field insight generation.
- Identify and communicate actionable medical insights, including unmet patient needs, evidence gaps, access barriers, changes in clinical practice and competitor developments.
- Translate field insights into meaningful input for medical strategy, evidence generation, access planning, launch readiness and lifecycle management.
- Identify opportunities for real-world evidence, investigator-initiated research, registries, Phase IV studies and other appropriate evidence-generation activities.
- Support Clinical Development and Medical Affairs with investigator and site identification, feasibility, recruitment insights and patient-journey intelligence.
- Support investigator-initiated studies, grants and external scientific collaborations in line with established governance and compliance requirements.
- Deliver and support scientific education, congress activity, advisory boards, expert consultations and other Medical Affairs initiatives.
- Support the localisation and delivery of global scientific narratives and approved materials, ensuring they remain accurate, balanced and relevant to UK clinical practice.
- Work closely with Market Access/HEOR, Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and other functions to ensure that medical insights inform integrated business plans while maintaining Medical Affairs’ independence.
- Provide appropriate medical input into UK access activities, including NICE, SMC, AWMSG and relevant NHS discussions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of external engagements, scientific insights, commitments and follow-up activities within approved systems.
- Ensure all Medical Affairs activities comply with UK and European legislation, industry codes, company policies, pharmacovigilance requirements, quality standards and internal procedures.
- Identify and promptly report adverse events, special situations and product complaints in accordance with established pharmacovigilance processes.
- Contribute to the wider UK and global Medical Affairs organisation through knowledge sharing, congress debriefs, capability building, peer support and cross-functional projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve field Medical Affairs effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, scientific impact and ways of working.
